“I love you,” I say as I take him in my mouth.

I work his long length with my tongue, turned on by his moan of desire and the way he just whispers my name with longing. I grab his ass and pull him in deeper as I suck him as if my life depends on it.

  And it does.

He grabs hold of my hair and moves against me, pumping in and out until he throws his head back and comes in my mouth.

In less than a second he has me up in his arms and into the bedroom where he throws me on the bed, pulls my thighs apart and begins to lavish the same kind of attention back to me.

His tongue licks me, pushes, sucks until I’m dying with need.

“Clayton!” I scream as my orgasm hits me to my core.

He pulls up and enters me quickly, filling me with his cock as he lifts my legs and drives in further.

“Right here, baby,” he says as his lips find mine.

We suck each other’s tongues, devour one another, our tastes merged into one as he thrusts in deeper and moves out, over again, grinding into me until I feel another wave about to overcome me.

“You are mine,” he whispers against my lips.

  “Yes,” I moan back.

And then sweet ecstasy overcomes me as another earth shattering orgasm rocks my body and soul.

It takes us both a few moments to calm our breathing, our hearts are both pounding as we hold on to one another.

This is where I want to be.

Where I was born to be.

  In this beautiful man’s arms.

  And I know.

  He’s mine forever.

  Just as I am his.

  Epilogue

  One month later

  Sophie

I watch as Clayton makes a perfect dive off the dock of our presidential suite into the clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

For my birthday he surprised me by bringing me back to the W Maldives, the resort where it all began for us. I could seriously live here, I think to myself as I take in the gorgeous scenery and stare around at the wonder that is the Maldives.

  It’s more than perfect.

  Like him.

I walk over to the edge of the dock and watch as Clayton’s muscled body glistens against the water.

“Jump in,” he calls out as he splashes my body playfully.

“No thanks,” I tell him as I shake my head. “I’m enjoying the view right here.”

“I promise you’ll enjoy a lot more in the water with me.” He gives me a wicked grin.

  “Tempting,” I reply.

His bright blue gaze burns its way up the length of my body, and my body reacts as though he’s physically touching me.

“But I think I’ll make you wait,” my voice is breathless. I can’t help it. He does this to me every single time.

  With just a look.

  A single glance.

And I’m suddenly wet and dying with an insatiable need.

“I’m an impatient man,” he warns.

“I know,” I laugh. “Trust me.”

“Speaking of impatient,” he changes the topic. “When do you plan on meeting with the interior decorator? Our home is appallingly empty.”

  I shrug.

Even though he’s given me what I think is the most absurdly over the top budget ever to furnish our home, I’ve been quite content with having only the bare minimum. Most women would be like kids in a candy shop, but it’s just the opposite for me. I’ve realized the most important thing for me is that we’re perfect together- not our furniture. Us.

“Get Erik to help,” Clayton urges. “It’s not like he hasn’t offered.”

“Don’t remind me,” I wave him off. “I’m the one who’s getting all of the daily emails with pictures of his crazy ideas. You should see some of the things he’s sending me.”

  “You sound annoyed,” Clayton laughs.

“No,” I sigh. “It’s to be expected from him.”

  “Then what?” Clayton asks.

“I don’t know. I guess I’m just settling in now and need to figure out the space,” I tell him. “And you know, what our style is going to be.”

“Our style,” he smiles. “I like that.”

I feel the familiar surge of love for him and give thanks above for the millionth time. Whatever force brought this man into my life… whatever force. I know I’ll just be eternally grateful.

“Can I ask a favor, baby?” Clayton says softly.

  “Anything.”

“Can you grab me a cold water from the minibar?” He asks.

“Of course,” I say as I turn and head back in the bungalow.

I think about the last time I was here with him. When I felt like the world was about to be over because I had to leave him. When our future together seemed so uncertain. And now it’s just the opposite.

Time had a funny way of fixing things.

  Making the wrongs, right.

And putting you on the path you were meant to take.

Who would have ever thought he would be my path?

  Clayton. Astor. Sinclair.

I grab the bottle of Evian out of the fridge and head back out to the deck. I take a moment to stare out at the endless sea and take in the sheer beauty. It’s unreal. So calm. And magical.

I notice a large white shell at the very edge of the deck. Funny, it wasn’t there when I left. I wonder if Clayton just found it when he dove under.

“Hey,” he says to me as he climbs up the stairs onto the dock. Water drips down his drool-worthy body.

“Did you dive for treasure?” I ask as I motion toward the shell.

“Something like that,” he replies cryptically.

“Heads up,” I toss him the bottle of water. He catches it easily.

His expression is suddenly guarded. I wonder what’s going on.

“I got that for you,” he tells me. His voice sounds unsure, which is so unlike him.

“Very sweet,” I reply as I lean down to check out what I think is a conch shell up close. I sit down and practically pet the object. “But you know we can’t take this beauty away from this home.”

“No,” Clayton agrees. “But we can enjoy it here. You should pick it up.”

I do as he says and hear something move against the inner walls.

“There’s something inside,” I tell him as I twist it toward me.

  “Be careful!” Clayton practically shouts.

I look over at him and place the shell in my lap and turn it a few times when I’m momentarily blinded by the glare from a diamond ring. It falls on my thigh, and I stare at it in shock.

I put the conch shell down and slowly pick up what can only be described as a GINORMOUS emerald cut diamond ring with two almost as large baguettes cushioning both sides.

“This is a diamond ring,” I’m surprised I can speak.

  “It is.”

Clayton’s voice is solemn as he walks over to me, leans down and picks me up in his arms. He holds me close to his chest and walks over to one of the lounge chairs.

He sits down, holding me tight.

I can only stare at the ring.

“Sophie Walker,” Clayton’s strong hand takes hold of my chin as he forces me to stare into his beautiful blue eyes.

“Clayton,” I whisper in overwhelming awe.

“Shhh,” he shakes his head and smiles at me. “I get to talk now.”

My eyes fill up with tears, and I nod. I wait for him to continue.

  “I love you.”

They’re the words I’ll never tire of hearing. The ones that fill me with peace, love, and immense gratitude.

“I want to spend my life with you,” he continues. “I can’t imagine it any other way.”

He looks almost afraid when he says the next words.

  “Will you marry me?”

I realize I’ve been holding my breath. I look at the man, the most perfect man for me, and I know I never had a chance.

  He is my destiny.

  My present.

My future.

  My everything.

I can’t imagine a life without him in it. It’s not something I even want to contemplate, so I say the only word I’m capable of.

  “Yes!”
